We want to thank you for your prayers and the loving support that we felt during our recent installation service and reception. During the past three months we have met many of you and are beginning to feel like family. We look forward to serving you as we seek to glorify Jesus and grow as His followers. We know that the Lord has great things ahead.

With the transitions of this past year, the Lord has made it clear to us that 2023 will be a year to focus on stability, health, and healing. We believe that healthy things grow and multiply. This is true of people, as well as churches. We are focusing our attention on prayer and anticipating great things from God while seeking His will for the ministries of New Life Church.

With excitement we extend to you an invitation to participate in the upcoming Ministry Celebration on Thursday, February 23 at 6:30 PM in the Worship Center. We are having fun with the theme of Back to the Future as we celebrate a year of changed lives and ministry fruitfulness, while also anticipating great things for the coming year - you may even meet Marty and Doc! We will also share in some delicious desserts!

This celebration will fulfill the requirement of our bylaws to have an annual “business meeting.” We will be distributing the annual report for 2022 and also will be giving members the opportunity to ratify new Church Council members. New Life Church has not had this meeting or an official “membership” for several years and we believe that this will provide us with an important step of compliance, transparency, and empowerment for all of you who love New Life Church.

You are probably asking, how do I become a member? Many of you have been through membership classes in the past and already consider yourself to be a member of New Life Church. Membership is not required for attending the Ministry Celebration. It is required in order to vote in the Church Council ratification process. In order to get a baseline membership here in 2023, we are making this easy for you. On Sunday, February 12 and February 19, you will have an opportunity to sign a membership card in the Courtyard. This will enable you to be an official voting member at the Ministry Celebration on February 23rd.

Membership is explained in our denomination’s bylaws which can be found HERE. Please note: Membership does not make a difference in terms of person’s participation in New Life Church, but it is required for voting. It is also a way of stating, “This is the community where the Lord has placed me for this season of my life. I am committed.”  For those who choose to not join as a member, we want you to know that you are a valued part of our church family. In the future, a class will be required in order to become a member.
