BELOW, YOU WILL FIND RESOURCES AND IDEAS FOR HOW YOU AND YOUR FAMILY CAN PRACTICE THE RHYTHM OF SABBATHING WEEKLY.

As you practice the Sabbath and think about what your day will look like, ask yourself, “is this restful or worshipful?” If it isn’t either of those things, it can wait until the other six days of the week.

 SABBATH IDEAS:

  • Start the day off with prayer as a family. What are you grateful for? How has God provided for you this week?

  • Make a habit of praying the Examen Prayer when you spend time with Jesus on the Sabbath. This can be found in your Rhythms Journal or also HERE.

  • Spend time worshipping God

  • Get outside! Go for a walk, run, or bike ride!

  • Family Dinner

  • Game Night

  • Dinner with friends

  • Make a Sabbath playlist

  • Do some art

  • Take a nap

  • Go on a scenic drive
