Child Dedication Class is Sunday, MAy 5 at 11:45 AM in the Baker Room

At New Life Church, we place a high value on the care given to lead, teach, and protect children. In Scripture, we see Jesus' example to take time to be present with children amidst His active adult ministry. We believe they are a gift from God the Father. As a church, we want to love children on His behalf and come alongside parents to support and equip them to be spiritual leaders in their homes.

We believe child dedication is for the parents' public declaration to raise their child to know, trust, and help develop a growing relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. It is a commitment to pray for, to love, teach and direct their child in the truth of Scripture through the power of the Holy Spirit.  

WHY DO WE HAVE DEDICATIONS FOR CHILDREN INSTEAD OF BAPTISMS?

We believe that baptism is an outward expression of an inward confession of faith. Baptism is a personal decision of the heart to surrender your life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Young children under the age of accountability are unable to declare this change. We baptize children that are fourth grade or older and invite the parent/guardian and child to participate in Baptism Class together. This class will be a requirement before baptism.
